Smart Habit Saturday – Eating Better

If I had to list everything that I have eaten over the last couple of weeks I think I would probably die of embarrassment. I feel like I have been living on junk food and not much else. So this week with the support of my partner Rob (who also wants to eat better), I am going to cut out the junk and eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. I’d also like to add some exercise into my week but that may just be pushing things a little to far. I think I might need to leave that for next weeks habit

Writing it all down makes it more real. I’ve started posting my list of food eaten on the fridge. Really makes me think twice before I grab xyz on my way through the kitchen.

Great new habit! I really had to take a look at what I was eating too so I started replacing some of my old foods with healthier picks; like low fat yogurt instead of a cookie. It was much easier when I did a little at a time. Good luck this week!
Good habit! I like to fill my veggie drawer and then try to empty it by eating it within 4 days.
I’m sure we all could eat better than we do! I’ve slowly been making changes in my diet. Last winter we switched to all whole grains and we were eating more veggies until I got sick. Now it seems that we’re eating fast food every other day. Not good! My daughter is making us some home made chicken noodle soup tonight though. I can’t wait!

I have tried being more accountable for my food and I agree writing it down helps. I tried using caloryking but found I just couldn’t be bothered logging in to update all the time so for me just listing it on paper during the day and wacking it in my dairy really helped!
