Pocket Money

I have finally stumbled across a way to handle pocket money that is working for us.
I give my eldest two girls $2 each on a Monday.
They decide how they want to spend it.
They can save it by putting it in their money box or they can take it to school and spend it at the canteen, or they can save it for the weekend and spend it at the shops.
They have been told that the $2 is to last them the week.
So if they spend it all on Monday, then they don’t have any more for the rest of the week.
It is helping them to understand money and how to budget their money.
