Plurk v Twitter
I have heard a lot of buzz about Plurk lately and to be totally honest I am still undecided about it. There look to be some advantages to Plurk, two differences are that you can follow grouped conversations easily and your contacts can be put into groups or cliques so that you can send out messages to only the cliques that you want to hear you. Both of these have their advantages and I wonder how long it will be before Twitter integrate the same features. I think that for the moment I might just sit back and wait and see
Anyway I just watched this YouTube clip from Caroline Middlebrook on her first impressions of Plurk and thought it was worth sharing.
What do you think?. If you already Twitter, do you think you will Plurk as well?

I plurk and twitter. Personally, I prefer Twitter, only because it’s right here on my task bar and and easier to use. If plurk comes up with a “twitterfox” type application, it might be better but having to manually open a tab and go to the plurk page puts me off.
But I don’t know, still early days
I agree Tina, I’m sure that eventually there will be other ways of plurking (now that sounds nice, doesn’t it? hehehee)

I’ve abandoned Twitter and I’m loving Plurk because of the mini conversations I can have.
Good overview — thanks! I have been wondering about Plurk too and your comments have helped a lot. I like your blog!

I use both Plurk and Twitter. I’ve been on Twitter a long time and other than some of its down time and a few other issues, like it a lot. Plurk has been fun to play with, but I haven’t gotten engaged there yet.
Also, I like to use tools like ping.fm and hellotxt to send my messages to many systems, including Plurk and Twitter at the same time.
I don’t use either. I feel so out of the loop on this. I guess I need to catch up!
