Did you know that it’s only 67 days until Christmas???

Usually this information would send me into a panic, but not this year. I’ve been saving for this Christmas since last Christmas. So this year I intend to have a stressfree lead up to Christmas Day!

I love everything about Christmas. I love the decorations, I love having the christmas tree up and watching the lights at night, I love christmas carols, I love staying up late and watching the Carols By Candlelight on the TV with the kids, I love doing Christmas crafts with the kids, I love putting the icicle lights up on our house and driving around at night looking at all the other decorated houses, I love watching Christmas movies and cartoons and most of all I love the excitment my children get out of the whole festive season.

It’s always very exciting when the baby of the family, who was to young last year to get into the whole Christmas spirit, starts to understand and get excited about decorations and Santa Claus. This year it’s Rileys turn, he is already recognising Santa so I can’t wait to share the rest of the Christmas experience with him.

We have a few Christmas traditions in our family:

Each year we let the kids pick out a new decoration each to buy. They have already started looking around in the shops.

We go to our local Carols By Candlelight.

We have a family Christmas, which is held a week or two before Christmas day. We get together with my Aunts and their families for a Christmas celebration where we exchange presents and have a big lunch.

Then we spend Christmas day with my parents and brother, my Grandmother and my Aunt and Uncle and my cousins.

Boxing day is usually spent with Robs Family which is great because we don’t get to see them all that often and the kids really enjoy it.
