Weigh in Wednesday
Here I am back again! I’m feeling a little guilty because I am back to square one again!.
I weighed myself this morning and I am 73kg. My goal is to get to 65kg.
This week I am trying to drink less soft drink, exercise more and eat better.
To find more participants in the Look Great in 2008 Challenge head on over to Tales From The Scales.
Starting Weight – 75kg
Today’s Weight – 73kg
This Weeks Loss – 0kg
Total Loss – 2kg
I’ve had another pretty unmotivated week, so I haven’t lost any weight, but I also haven’t put any weight on, so that’s got to be a good thing.
My goals for this week:
I drank the last of the soft drink last night and I don’t intend to buy anymore, so from now on I’ll only be drinking water.
And I’m going to try and eat more fruits and vegetables this week instead of snacking on junk.
Starting Weight – 75kg
Today’s Weight – 73kg
This Weeks Loss – + 1kg
Total Loss – 2kg
I haven’t been focusing on weight loss at all this week and I have put back on 1kg
I’m just not motivated to do this at the moment, I know I should be taking advantage of the fact that I’m breastfeeding, but I just can’t do it. I’m tired and that’s when I reach for the chocolate or coke to give me a boast of energy. The funny thing is that I know if I eat better I will have more energy and won’t need the boast from coke and chocolate….. crazy huh!
Anyway, I can’t guarentee anything but this week I will try to:
I’ll be back next week to let you know how I went
Starting Weight – 75kg (165lbs)
Today’s Weight – 72kg (159lbs)
This Weeks Loss – 0kg
Total Loss – 3kg (6.6lbs)
I haven’t been all that good this week, so no loss here, but no gain either, so I can’t be to disappointed.
My goals for this week are to:
Starting Weight – 75kg (165lbs)
Todays Weight – 72kg (159lbs)
This Weeks Loss – 0.5kg (1lbs)
Total Loss – 3kg (6.6lbs)
My week has been ok, but not great. I have been trying hard not to snack between meals as well as drinking more water.
My goals for this week are to:
Wish me luck for this week
Starting Weight – 75kg (165lbs)
Todays Weight – 72.5kg (160lbs)
This Weeks Loss – 1kg (2.2lbs)
Total Loss – 2.5kg (5.5lbs)
This week I have been trying a little harder. Not eating so many snacks and drinking more water but I have still been a little naughty. We had McDonalds for lunch one day and I had a peice of really yummy chocolate cake at a birthday party on Sunday. But I still managed to loss 1kg.
If I wasn’t breastfeeding I think that I would more than likely be gaining weight.
My goals for this week are:
Wish me luck
This Weeks Loss – 1.5kg (3.3lbs)
Total Loss – 1.5kg (3.3lbs)
I am ashamed to say that the last week I really haven’t been dieting at all. I did lower my Coke Zero consumption and tried to drink more water, but I ate some take away as well as cake on Mothers day and have not done any exercise other than the walk to and from school.
So imagine my surprise when I got on the scales and I had lost 1.5kg. I am putting it all down to breastfeeding, I’m losing weight but I’m making my poor baby fat
I have also been thinking about how to fit a walk into my day and I have come up with a solution. When I drop the kids off at school I will walk around the block rather than walking straight home, it’s quite a large block so it will probably be about a 15 to 20 minute walk.

Today is the first day of the Weight Loss Challenge.
It is being hosted by Tales From The Scales so if you want to join in head on over there
For my height (159cm) my healthy weight range is between 51kg and 63kg and I currently weigh 75kg (roughly 165 lbs) so my goal weight is 60kg (roughly 132 lbs).
So that’s about 15kg (roughly 33 lbs) that I’d like to remove from my body
To do this I obviously need to watch what I eat. No more snacking on chocolate and biscuits, no more coke and no more greasy, oily takeaway food.
I’d also like to drag the exercise bike out of the garage and dust it off, although finding somewhere to put it is going to take some work. But where there’s a will, there’s a way
I’ve got a pilates dvd that I would like to start doing again, but I need to wait until my 6 week post maternity check up before I can do anything like that.
The weather is really nice here at the moment, sunny days but not to hot, so I should take advantage of that and put the kids in the pram and go for a walk each day.
So that’s the plan, now all I need is the motivation to do this and that’s where you and my blog come in. I’m hoping that by blogging about my weight loss achievements or hopefully not lack there of, it’ll give me the motivation that I need to finally do this.
I am hoping that the fact that I’m breastfeeding is going to work in my favour. I usually find it easier to lose weight while breastfeeding, but there is also a disadvantage in that I get ravenous and I’m also generally tired. I’m going to have to have some healthy snacks in the cupboards and fridge that I can just grab when I get hungry to stop myself from wanting the biscuits and chocolate (although hopefully they won’t be in the house in the first place).
Ok, so here goes……… wish me luck
