Five Easy Ways To Spend Time With Your Kids

By Fazil H

1. Call Them From Work

Calling them from work shows them you care. I call my daughter from work everyday. Even though, she does not speak yet, she will know that her dad is thinking about her. We sometime have some many meeting ,we forget to call our children. Set aside at least 10 minutes to call your child. Or just skip a coffee break and call you child. They will give you the energy you need to get through the day.

2. Email Them

We check our at least twice a day , so we have to opportunity to email our kids. Some children spend more time online than watching TV. Send them an email telling them that you love them and that you look forward to chatting about their day when you get home.

3. IM them

This might not be feasible for some of us but if you can IM them do so. Sometimes our children are looking attention in the wrong places. However, they will be very happy to know that mom or dad is checking up on me because they love me. Children like attention even if it is virtual.

4. Read To Them

I read to my daughter everyday. The time I spend with her reminds me how much she depends on me for the simple things in life. I know that there will come a time when she will be very independent and be too busy for us to have reading time. I sincerely advice every parent to read to your kids it will be the best time of their and your life.

5.Turn off the TV

Television time has taken the place of family time. We work all day and come home to greet our favorite programs with affection. Some of us ignore our children when our favorite program is on. Watching it with them is great but our time would have been better spent discussing how their day was. Talk to them and listen to them.

Spend Time With Your Kids.

Your Child And His Bath Time

By Andrew Ashworth

“Do kids really need a daily bath?” No.

Especially during the cooler months, children can skip a day or even two or three days, provided that they keep their genital area clean with proper toileting routines. They should also wash their hands a few times a day, before and after using the toilet and before meals and bedtime. Washing their face in the morning and at night will help them feel fresher. In warmer weather, and when kids have been playing outdoors, or have worked up a sweat, a bath before bed is definitely a good idea.

Bathtime fun

Some kids need a little prodding to entice them into the tub. For them especially, here are some ideas to enhance their enjoyment of bath time:

• Get some silly soaps. Soaps shaped like ducks or hearts can encourage scrubbing.
• Paint the town. Or at least the inside of the tub. Nontoxic water paints and specially designed bath paints can bring out the artist in your little bather. Clean up is easy.
• Invest in bath toys. Toys specially designed for the bath-floating islands with pirates or mermaids, water wheels, and other toys that won’t be damaged by submersion-are good bets.
• Make washcloth puppets. Or purchase commercially made ones.
• Offer a messy treat. Popsicles that you might not allow to be eaten in the living room can be a real treat in the bath, especially on a hot summer night.

Bathing products for toddlers and preschoolers

Baby soaps or non-soap cleansers like Cetaphil lotion are ideal for a young child’s sensitive skin. Steer clear of harsh deodorant soaps and those with lots of fragrance, which could irritate your child’s skin. In fact, no matter what kind of soap your child is using, it’s only necessary to soap hands, feet, and the genital area. Soaping the whole body, especially the face, will dry your child’s skin.

Keeping bath toys clean

Soap scum build-up and humidity can cause bath toys to become havens for germs and mildew. After each use, rinse bath toys under the shower spray and store them in an airy container, such as a colander or hanging basket. Every few weeks, wash the toys with an antibacterial detergent or vinegar and water and rinse them thoroughly.

Generally, a parent should encourage a child to take frequent baths. In a number of occasions, some children typically end up not liking their bath times. When it is time to go take a bath, they will start crying, screaming, giving excuses etc. Once you notice this type of behavior in your child, try to find out why they do not like to take a bath. Some children do not like being in the bathroom by themselves. Once you figure out the problem, try to find out a solution that will help your child like their bath time. To some children, it could be that they need their parents to be close by as they take their baths, to others it may be adding some bath toys. This will enable you child to like his bath time and prevent him from having a temper tantrum when he is going to take a bath.

Staying at home with your children is a rewarding job. Raising children is a hard task even under the best of circumstances. Still, moms who stay at home may be yearning for more in their own lives to feel fulfilled.

The invention of the Internet opened up many doors for entrepreneurial exploits. An entire world of information is at our fingertips twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. To take advantage, all we need is a computer and a little motivation. This is the perfect way for moms to make some money of their own.

The most popular choice would be internet auction houses. The most popular of which is eBay. Everyone has something around their home that they can sell that someone else may want. One day, while your kids are sleeping, check out the attic and the garage for hidden treasures that could fetch a good price on the internet. Use a digital camera to take pictures of all potential money-making items.

Use your hobbies to make some easy cash. Do you like to draw, paint, crochet, or create crafts? Create your own website to advertise your particular expertise. Local flee markets and craft shows are a perfect way to get your product out there to the public. These events take place on the weekend, so your spouse can watch the kids while you market your merchandise.

Another way to make some extra money is online surveys. Large companies spend millions of dollars each year in market research for new and existing products. They poll consumers like you and me to see if there is sufficient interest in their products. The surveys can take anywhere from five minutes to an hour per survey for follow-up surveys.

Different companies offer a variety of incentives. Some companies offer points for their surveys which can be converted into prizes. Other survey companies offer cash for trialing new services and products. These surveys usually require a credit card for a preliminary fee that is reimbursed by the company upon completion of the survey.

Any work you do for extra money on the Internet requires an online account for companies or individuals to deposit your earned cash. The premier online account is PayPal. Signing up is free, but you must have a valid bank account that can be verified in case there is any discrepancy with the funds in your PayPal account.

There are a number of ways to earn extra money as a stay at home mom. The Internet offers plenty of opportunities that do not require a lot of time. The extra funds that you will be making will feel good.

Learning How to Make Money Blogging

Make Money Blogging

The following paragraphs summarize the work of blogging experts who are completely familiar with all the aspects of Blogging. Heed their advice to avoid any blogging surprises. How can you put a limit on learning more? The next section may contain that one little bit of wisdom that changes everything. There are two major types of business models that entrepreneurs use to make money blogging. The first and most common way to turn a blog into a profit making machine is to sell advertising to different companies and brands who want to reach that blog’s readers. The second kind of money making blog is one that helps a single brand improve its image by creating positive associations between the blog and the product in the mind of consumers. Both kinds of blogs can make a lot of money, especially if the creator has a keen mind for marketing. If you are blogging with the goal of selling advertising, there are two basic ways that you can go about recruiting sponsors who want to put ads on your site; you can let someone else do all of the legwork, or you can do the work yourself and keep all of the revenue. Within the first group, many people make money blogging by selling space through Google’s AdSense program. The advantages of this program are numerous, as it requires very little effort on the part of the blogger or webmaster to begin raking in profits. However, most people discover that they make less money through this method than they had hoped that their blog would earn. Selling advertising directly to companies who want to put banner ads or sponsored links on your blog can take quite a bit of time, but it is often fairly lucrative. If you have a lot of contacts in industries that are related to the topic of your blog, you may want to try to go this route. People who have a strong background in sales and are experienced at pitching proposals can make quite a bit of money by renting blog space to interested companies. The most serious problem with this model is that you often have to build quite a sizable readership before you can attract advertisers, which can mean that you have to do several months of work before you start to make money blogging. As blogging becomes a more and more lucrative business, a lot of established companies are considering how they can get into the action. One way that companies are capitalizing on the blog movement is by having blogs that provide a kind of friendly face for their corporation. Often, a company will employ an established blogger to create a weblog designed specifically to appeal to that company’s customers and consumers’ minds. More than one writer who never even dreamed that he or she could make money blogging has been approached by a company and offered quite a pretty penny for this kind of gig. There’s a lot to understand about blogging. We were able to provide you with some of the facts above, but there is still plenty more to write about in subsequent articles. Want to work with an outstanding team of mentors who use blogging? You can! Pat Murray and a team of successful mentors will show you how to make good money. Make money online

If you surf the net, you will see that blogs abound the online world. It seems that more and more people are into blogging. Blogging for money is more like a career now rather than just a simple past time. There are three popular ways of making money through blogging and you can find them right here. The first one is through advertisement. For instance you’re already writing blogs. Now, in order to make money, you must get advertisements. Once your blogs are popular, more and more visitors will checkout your blog. Because of the popularity of your blogs, you will soon receive offers for advertisements from companies and product brands. The companies will then pay you for the advertisements. In most cases, you will be advertising products and services that are related to your blogs. The second is by writing reviews. While you’re writing a blog, you can also write reviews. You can earn more money by blogging about services, products, and popular companies. Since business owners want to popularize their names, they will offer you to write reviews about their products and brands. The reviews should be positive so that more people are attracted to the said products or services. It must be able to generate an optimistic impression. If you’re a popular and experienced blogger, more and more companies will request you to write reviews about them. The third way to earn money is to do blogging and get paid. There are organizations as well as individuals who are willing to shell out money and pay for the blogs you make. Now, the blogs you will be asked to write may be about their products or services. Hired bloggers are increasing in numbers all over the world. Through the blogs, certain products or services can create a big buzz. Those that hire bloggers will benefit a lot and they can create goodwill and excellent promotions. If you’re a hired blogger, you will periodically receive hundreds or thousands through your blogs. Isn’t that a good way to earn money without leaving the comforts of your home? Advertisements, writing reviews, and getting paid for blogging are the three most popular ways of earning money through blogging. If you want, you can combine any of the three so that you can increase your earnings. However, this may be difficult to achieve especially if you’re a beginner. You must continue learning so that you can become an expert blogger. There are no specific requirements for bloggers. As long as you know how to write effective blogs and you have the right attitude, you will become successful in this field. A lot of home based people are now into blogging. This is an excellent way to make money even when you’re at home. As long as you have an internet connection and you know your way around the net, you can become a successful and highly paid blogger. Determine the right money making option that will work for you. You can try them one by one and see which one works for you and let you earn money. You must have a plan of action so that you will know that you’re on the right track. Give yourself enough time to test the waters. Remember, you must be an experienced and excellent blogger in order to make good money online through blogs.

Make sure you have downloaded all the software necessary to perform all actions on your Ipod.

You can convert DVD Movies to MP4 Ipod Movies, or else convert any MPEG, AVI, 3GP, WMV, or DivX files onto an Ipod. The Internet has made available all types of converting software that makes it easier to convert files. You also have software that comes with your new gadget; therefore, it may have the necessary tools you will need to convert. Most times this is not true, since additional converting software’s are sold separate.

To get started you will need to download the correct suites. One of the most recommended is the Xilisoft DVD Ipod Suites. At what time you download the software, take care to following the steps processing instructions carefully to make sure you load onto the computer properly.

Loading the DVD

Now, you will need to load up your DVD and then select ADD the DVD to your Folder. You will see this in the Files Menus. You can also click the DVD tab, select DVD-Rom, and then press Ok.

If you want to convert the entire DVD highlight the entire program, or else select chapters from the movie you want to convert. Now you will press the “Show Chapters” tab at the Interface area. This will help you find all the files you are searching for to convert.

Now we are going to highlight the files you want to convert. In Profiles, you will select the targeted output format, and here you will see a combination box at the interface area. You will now select the format, which ever you choose (for example MPEG, AVI, WMV, DivX, etc) and the process of formatting will take place.

Now you need to choose the folder named output, and click on the browser tab. Then enter a path name into the destiny box. Now you will choose the file you wish to convert, by right clicking on the movie or chapters and then selecting “rip.” This will start the converting process.

Happy Mother’s Day – And It’s Origin

The Origin of Mothers day

By Amy Nutt

The Ancient Greek and Roman cultures can be said to be the originators of the tradition of honoring our mothers. The religious festivals and spring were the time when mothers were specifically honored. Coming to the contemporary origination of the mother’s day celebration in present day United States, it was Julia Ward Howe, author of the words of the Battle Hymn of the Republic who purported that a day should be decided upon to be celebrated as Mother’s Day. This would be a commemoration to peace according to her.

However she wasn’t taken seriously, but still continued to hold mother’s day meetings in Massachusetts every year. Finally it was Mrs. Anna Jarvis who got the credit of getting mother’s day celebrations formalized in the United States. Her inspiration was her own mother, who dedicated a lifetime for the upbringing of a family of eleven children. On the second death anniversary of her mother, the second Sunday of May, she convinced her mother’s parish in West Virginia for mother’s day celebrations. Her mother’s favorite flower, the white carnation was used to decorate the church.

Since then the white carnation has been a symbol of a mother who has passed away and a red one for a living mother. This though has changed over the times and now many flowers are accepted as signifying a tribute to the mother. In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson declared Mother’s day a national holiday. In the United States the traditional way of celebrating this day is to bring your mother flowers and take her on a special meal.

The white chrysanthemum in Australia has taken the place of the white carnation as it is the most prolific flower in May. In Denmark, Finland, Italy, Turkey, Japan, Australia and Belgium, the second Sunday of May is celebrated as Mother’s Day while some other countries do that on another day. Sweden and France celebrate it on the last Sunday of May and is more like a family birthday to them.

There is a great connection between Mother’s day and spring for in Lebanon it is celebrated on the first day of spring and in South Africa mother’s day celebrations happen on the first Sunday of May. The festival Durga Puja in honor of the divine mother is celebrated as a ten day elaborate affair in India. In Spain and Portugal mother’s day is celebrated on December 8th when they not only honor their own mothers but also the Virgin Mary.

kids and choresWe all want our children to grow up and leave our homes knowing how to take care of their homes and themselves.

I have found that the best way to help my children learn new skills is by encouraging them to help me with the household chores.

Each week my children get to pick a chore that they would like to help me with. Because I have four children old enough to help me with chores I have made four different titles for my kids to choose from.

We have a:

Kitchen Helper – helps prepare dinner and set the table for meals each night.
Laundry Helper – helps load the washing machine, hang and fold clothes and sort underwear.
Dishwasher Helper – helps pack and unpack the dishwasher and clear the table after meals.
Cleaning Helper – helps vacuum, dust and generally tidy the house.

I don’t expect my kids to do all these jobs on their own. They are all still young so they need guidance with most tasks but as they practise all of these household tasks they will eventually be able to manage most jobs without my supervision.

Having the children helping me one on one also gives us plenty of time to have some special time together and with five children any chance for some one on one time with each of them is very important.

Children as young as two can start to help with chores. They like to help Mummy and Daddy put clothes in the washing machine, pass clothes to hang on the clothesline, they love to help in the kitchen and put a damp cloth in their hands and they become a crazy wiping machine.

If given the opportunity to help while they are young, children will grow up feeling like they are contributing to the household and once they are ready to leave home they will be well equipped to take care of themselves.
