Tackle It Tuesday – Kids Books

Tackle It Tuesday Today I tackled something that has been driving me nuts for a long time. We have a book box with all our favourite books in it. It used to live under Clare’s bed, but when we cleaned out her room a few months ago I decided that I didn’t want anything under the beds (it was an attempt to try and keep their rooms tidy), so the book box was put under my bed “for the time being!”. Unfortunately that was a few months ago and the book box was still under my bed.

So today I emptied the bottom shelf of the games cupboard and now the books have somewhere to live and they arn’t in my bedroom anymore :)

Thanks to Susan and Janice for hosting Tackle It Tuesday at 5 Minutes for Mom , your motivation to get things done around the house is very much appreciated :) Go and check out more Tackle It Tuesday participants.

Smart Habit Saturday

The habit I am going to work on this week is something that is going to help my eldest girls. I have noticed lately that they have been having trouble keeping there bedroom clean. They have trouble keeping it clean at the best of times but it is twice as hard when their little brother and sister are adding to the mess. This is mainly due to them being in there playing on the computer. So the first step is to get the computer out of there. It will go in the dining room for the time being. The next step is to do a clean out, which should only take me an hour or two. The habit part of the exercise will be to do a 5 minute tidy up each night before they go to bed.

So that is what we will be working on this week.
