Review – Daycare Bear

This review is for all my friends in USA!

Daycare Bear was launched in December 2005 to help U.S. parents and Childcare providers connect quickly.
.
Finding an opening in a high quality, yet affordable, daycare environment can be a daunting task. Daycare Bear provides a search engine dedicated to daycare providers and childcare services to help parents find the care that’s right for them and their children.
.
Daycare Bear aims to become the first stop for parents looking for a childcare provider.
.
Daycare Bear is a free service provided to the community and is accessible to anyone: parents, pre-schools, daycare centers, childcare providers, nannies and babysitters.

Step 1. Pick an area/room

I have chosen my wardrobe to organise. In particular one section of the wardrobe that I want to use as the new babies wardrobe.

This is what it currently looks like!

Step 2. Create an organizational plan
.
1. What do I want the purpose of my room or area to be?
I want this section of my wardrobe to be the new babies wardrobe.
2. What do I need in or near the area to serve that purpose?
I have a spare set of small drawers and a small shelving unit that can be put inside the wardrobe for storage.
3. What can I remove from the area?
The plastic drawers need to come out and find a new home, as well as the box of scrapbook albums. There are some clothes in there that need to come out, but there is room in the other sections of the wardrobe for them. The bags that are currently hanging uo there are full of baby stuff, so they just need to be unpacked once the wardrobe is cleaned out.
4. What problems do I see with the area?
No problems so far.
5. What organizational tools might solve those problems?
N/A
6. What habits need to change to solve the organizational problems?
I need to stop using that section of the wardrobe as a dumping ground for things that don’t have a home.
7. What kind of a budget do I have to create the organized room of my dreams?
I really don’t want to spend any money at all, so that’s why I am going to use the spare drawers and shelves.
8. What kind of a timeline is necessary to organize the room?
I’m due to have this baby in 3 weeks, so the sooner the better, however I don’t anticipate it taking me more than a week to complete and that’s doing it at a very slow pace.
9. What is my plan of action?
The first job is to find a new home for the plastic drawers and the box of albums.
Then the clothes need to be relocated.
I’ll then need to get all the bags of baby stuff out so that I can dust and vacuum and clean the walls.
Then arrange the drawers and shelf in the wardrobe and last but not least (the fun part) putting all the babies things in there.
10. Who can I ask to help me with this?
Rob would help me, but I really don’t think I’m going to need any help.

.
I’ll be posting updates as I progress through this challenge, so come back often.

Menu Plan Monday

An Image on A Juggling Mums BlogMost of the meals I had planned for last week didn’t happen due to a few nights of painful contractions where all I could do was lay on the lounge, so we had takeaway a couple of times and toast a few times. It has taught me a good lesson, I need to have meals cooking in the crockpot ready for dinner or have meals precooked and in the freezer for nights where I just can’t manage anything else.
.
Hopefully this week will go a little smoother than last week :)
.
Monday
Baking – Pizza Scrolls (will freeze for lunchboxes)
Dinner – Oriental Rice with Bacon
.
Tuesday
Baking – Triple Chocolate Muffins
Dinner – Cheese on Toast (Shopping day tomorrow)
.
Wednesday
Dinner –
Low Fat Asian Crockpot Chicken (Thanks Berry-Morins Bits and Tips)
.
Thursday

I’m going to take up the challenge, I would like to get my wardrobe organised. This challenge has come at a great time because I want to use part of my wardrobe as the new babies wardrobe, so getting the clutter out is essential. I also need to have a think about what I need in there in the way of shelving and drawers.

.
