Nanna Naps

This whole pregnancy thing is wearing me out. I have noticed that by about 2pm I am ready to have a sleep. Of course I can’t because I have to pick up the girls from school at 3pm.

Yesterday while Riley lay down for a nap at lunch time, I lay down with him. He always has his day time nap in my bed, so I put on a movie and Caitie and I joined him. I didn’t get any sleep but just having the rest was very helpful. Caitie who doesn’t have naps anymore also benefited from having a little bit of a rest.

I wasn’t tired at all in the afternoon and even managed to sit through 2 hours of the girls dancing without to much trouble.

So from now on I’ll be napping with Riley everyday. I’m going to miss my quiet time, I like to potter around in the house or garden while Riley is having a sleep, but a rest is much more beneficial for me at the moment.

Morning Sickness is Reasurring

No matter now horrible it makes you feel, it really is reassuring to wake up in the morning with that blurghhh feeling!.

I’ve been nibbling on water crackers and sipping lemon juice diluted with water and this has been helping me feel ‘almost human’.

I’ve never taken anything before for the ‘all day sickness’ but if it gets to the point where I can’t handle it anymore then I’ll look at getting some morning sickness tablets or those seabands things for motion sickness.

And It’s Hit!

The morning sickness has hit me!

I started feeling yucky yesterday at lunchtime, so I had something to eat and felt better for a little while but then the blurghhhh feeling came back again.

Today I have just felt off all day, nothing to bad, just that constant blurghhh feeling.

I went to Woolworths today and stocked up on water crackers and lemons. When I was pregnant with Riley I sipped lemon juice to make me feel better, so I’m hoping that it will work this time too :)

No Sign of Morning Sickness…Yet!

I had wondered if the morning sickness would kick in this morning, normally as soon as I find out I’m pregnant I start to feel yuck, but so far so good :)

It still doesn’t seem quite real, but I guess once the morning sickness kicks in it will feel real enough.

Rob wasn’t surprised at all when I told him, but he’s happy.

The girls were excited, especially Chloe, she was jumping around the house :) She wants a little brother so that Riley will have another boy to play with (that’s my girl, always thinking of others). Clare wants a baby sister, so that she doesn’t get annoyed by another brother (hehehehe). And Caitie wants a little sister just because she doesn’t like boys!!!

I’m Pregnant!

I took a test today and it was positive (a very feint positive – but a positive none the less).

I have a feeling that it’s going to be a boy, but obviously I won’t know for sure for quite some time.

I am only just pregnant so it is very early days.

I put me details into a due date calculator and guess when I’m due…. 22nd April……. ahahahaha, 4 days after Caities birthday and 1 day after mine.

I haven’t told Rob yet, I’ll tell him tonight when he gets home from work. He won’t be surprised, he thought that I was pregnant anyway, but he’ll be happy :)

It will be interesting to see how the girls will react, I’m sure that they will be as excited about it as me.
